VoiceQ Pro - Update 4.3.1

Release Date: Late April 2019 Build Number: VoiceQ Pro 4.3.1 Fixes Addresses an issue with Pro Tools Playback: Users with large projects sometimes had playback issues when the user would initiate playback erratically. This version creates a buffer to allow VoiceQ and Pro Tools to stay in sync more effectively. Adds a snapshot export option upon saving: When transferring projects; some timing data might be lost when using a large NAS or network. User has the option to export a Snapshot file when saving via 'Preferences>Global>Misc.>Save snapshot after saving'. Video playback: Addressed an issue where the video file would play but visual features would not which caused a loop. =========== Release Date: Early April 2019 Build Number: VoiceQ Pro 4.3.0 Notice: Please download the latest iLok manager 5.0+ from PACE to use our new licensing systems. www.ilok.com Features

Timeline customization - Change the look and feel in the timeline options to match your colour preference. All colors in the timeline can be edited; this includes the background, grid lines, waveform, and floating waveform colors

Portable Document Format (.pdf) Script Import – Users can now import the latest 'screenplay scripts’ or ‘shooting scripts’ into VoiceQ to prepare files for translation, adaptation and recording. This feature can import large screenplay files in >10 seconds with 100% conversion accuracy.

For ‘timecoded’ PDF scripts, we recommend converting to Excel format. You cannot import PDF if...

  • It contains no textual data (image scan or glyphs only)
  • It contains security settings (password)

Export PDF Script as .CSV or .XLSX - When users import PDF files they have the option to export to a converted .csv or excel file. Auto-generated timecode will be added to maintain duets and multi character sections.

Script Import in 'min:sec' - Added support for import of timecode set in 'Min:Sec'. Previously Excel would convert time in 'min:sec' to real time and not timecode, causing an error when importing.

Tab Import - Users can now import .tab files into VoiceQ. Simply drag & drop this format into the script view to initiate import

Voice Talent Preview Window - On-screen notes now appear in italic in Default/Open GL. This allows users to differentiate script lines from On-screen notes for more efficient recordings.

Logic Pro X support – VoiceQ supports the latest version of Logic Pro X, and works similarly to Pro Tools with MIDI. Previously there was an update to Logic X that caused stop/playback to become unresponsive.

Go to the first un-done line Shortcut - This allows the user to go to the first line in the script not set as 'done', to begin recording. Right-click a character and "Go to the first un-done line".

Fixes

Character pane - Alphabetical ordering set as the default setting when importing scripts for better management of characters.

Line progress - Fixed an issue where the line count and word count would not update correctly under certain conditions.

Line progress for loop count - Progress for Lines (50 characters) added to live progress in Characters pane. For a more detailed report you can still use the croisille report export work under 'reports>Export croisille.' Note: To view 'Line progress (50 characters)' simply right-click the characters pane column bar and select 'Lines (50*) & Progress (50*).

Progress bar - Fixed a glitch where the progress bar in the CSV import process would show incorrectly when importing.

Symbol support - Added more support for specific symbols in the script editor and timeline. Previously certain symbols caused timing errors to occur where the symbols would create larger timeslots than required in the word-by-word sync.

Timing fixes - Added a change to lines when certain punctuation symbols are used, causing timing anomalies or duration errors.

Zoom wording - "Lower zoom level" replaces "Higher zoom level" in preferences for more clarity on the functionality.

CaptionSync This builds on our current Auto-sync tool which can be constrained if the audio and text are not imported in the correct way and/or format.
VoiceQ Navigator enables the import of generic word level timing files (.vqsync). Users can import scripts without time-code and then edit them in VoiceQ.
Users will need to sign-up to CaptionSync services and reference 'VoiceQ' to use this service. For further support please refer to: https://www.voiceq.com/captionsync Additional
