  • Audio output settings - Users can change the audio output for VoiceQ. This is useful for creatives who have mixer set-ups and multiple audio outputs.
  • Visual Character list in the timeline - Users can view the names of characters in the timeline. Users can edit the character list by manually changing the position in the scene characters menu or automatically using the column sorting as well.
  • Double click to edit the text in the timeline - Users can tap the line twice in the timeline to edit the text. This keeps users who are doing word and line sync to stay in the timeline view.
  • Dubtext script import - Users who use dubtext format may import and export these files now to the correct standard
  • SMPTE TTS TTML import/export - More options for import and export. For more information on the format

Rewire plug-in installer is available for users to take advantage of ReWire support in VoiceQ. ReWire has been added to VoiceQ to create the best synchronisation between VoiceQ and external audio software. Unlike MIDI ReWire has a lower latency and has been proved to be the best method of integrating recording software. Please update to the latest version of VoiceQ software to use the ReWire plug-in. Updates Support for storing TTAL imported projects in VoiceQ Cloud Projects that use TTAL tables can be stored on the cloud and imported to the macOS application without loss of data. Project Importing (VoiceQ Cloud) Users may download and edit projects shared via the cloud service and synchronise progress with other users simultaneously. The user can select the project they wish to download from a list of projects that the user or a Manager has given them access to. Project Upload/Synchronisation (VoiceQ Cloud) Users may upload projects (as a Manager) and/or Synchronise a project to the server. In order to upload/sync the project to the server the user must select 'File>VoiceQ Cloud>Sync project...' (Alt+Cmd+S). It will merge the user data with other users data if another user is working on the project simultaneously. Universal Overlay Media Window - (Pro version only) Use DNX and other codecs in Pro Tools video player. Synchronise to Pro Tools and/or other DAW with video support and overlay our VoiceQ media window over the media player. This will increase your sync for Dubbing and ADR and keep engineers focused on editing to a final media file. Note this also allows users to run multiple reels or do multi-episode projects in one session without switching DAW projects. Import Duration

When changing the 'Done' property of a scene, VoiceQ gives the user a confirmation selection. Shortcut for Done lines
Set to 'Cmd+D' - Done & 'Cmd+U' for undone lines. Users can select multiple lines and use the shortcut keys to edit. (note: does not function on scenes this must still be done via cursor selection) Fractions
Fixed the issue that realtime with fractions (##:##:##.###) could not be imported correctly from CSV or Excel scripts.

Recording improvements Users can record audio directly in VoiceQ without the use of a DAW. The UI allows users to record either .wav or .m4a format files. Users can sort takes and manage exports for use with audio engineers.

  • Go to the first un-done line Shortcut - This allows the user to go to the first line in the script not set as 'done', to begin recording. Right-click a character and "Go to the first un-done line".
  • Logic Pro X support – VoiceQ supports the latest version of Logic Pro X, and works similarly to Pro Tools with MIDI.
  • Portable Document Format (.pdf) Script Import – Users can now import the latest 'screenplay scripts’ or ‘shooting scripts’ into VoiceQ to prepare files for translation, adaptation and recording. This feature can import large screenplay files in >10 seconds with 100% conversion accuracy. Export PDF Script as .CSV or .XLSX - When users import PDF files, they have the option to export to a converted .csv or excel file. Auto-generated timecode will be added to maintain duets and multi character sections.
  • Progress bar - Users can now use a progress bar to track the duration of lines visually.
  • Reverse direction scrolling - Right-to-Left scrolling for all OpenGL based renderer including video export.
  • Addresses an issue with Pro Tools Playback - Users with large projects sometimes had playback issues when the user would initiate playback erratically. This version creates a buffer to allow VoiceQ and Pro Tools to stay in sync more effectively.
  • Timeline customization - Change the look and feel in the timeline options to match your colour preference. All colors in the timeline can be edited; this includes the background, grid lines, waveform, and floating waveform colors
  • Script Import in 'min:sec' - Added support for import of timecode set in 'Min:Sec'. Previously Excel would convert time in 'min:sec' to real time and not timecode, causing an error when importing.
  • Streamers (dual view) - User can view the streamers in a dual collapsible view. This allows a better visual for the user when using a set pre-roll. The user may toggle this via streamer settings in preferences by selecting 'Crossing bar style'.
  • Mask - The mask now covers before and after the selected line. Open 'Preferences>Project>Mask' and select 'Current line' in the 'Screen mask' section.
  • Tab Import - Users can now import .tab files into VoiceQ. Simply drag & drop this format into the script view to initiate import
  • Voice Talent Preview Window - On-screen notes now appear in italic in Default/Open GL. This allows users to differentiate script lines from On-screen notes for more efficient recordings.

Export PDF Script as .CSV or .XLSX - When users import PDF files, they have the option to export to a converted .csv or excel file. Auto-generated timecode will be added to maintain duets and multi character sections.
  • Progress bar - Users can now use a progress bar to track the duration of lines visually.
  • Reverse direction scrolling - Right-to-Left scrolling for all OpenGL based renderer including video export.
  • Addresses an issue with Pro Tools Playback - Users with large projects sometimes had playback issues when the user would initiate playback erratically. This version creates a buffer to allow VoiceQ and Pro Tools to stay in sync more effectively.
  • Timeline customization - Change the look and feel in the timeline options to match your colour preference. All colors in the timeline can be edited; this includes the background, grid lines, waveform, and floating waveform colors
  • Script Import in 'min:sec' - Added support for import of timecode set in 'Min:Sec'. Previously Excel would convert time in 'min:sec' to real time and not timecode, causing an error when importing.
  • Streamers (dual view) - User can view the streamers in a dual collapsible view. This allows a better visual for the user when using a set pre-roll. The user may toggle this via streamer settings in preferences by selecting 'Crossing bar style'.
  • Mask - The mask now covers before and after the selected line. Open 'Preferences>Project>Mask' and select 'Current line' in the 'Screen mask' section.
  • Tab Import - Users can now import .tab files into VoiceQ. Simply drag & drop this format into the script view to initiate import
  • Voice Talent Preview Window - On-screen notes now appear in italic in Default/Open GL. This allows users to differentiate script lines from On-screen notes for more efficient recordings.

  • Audio output settings - Users can change the audio output for VoiceQ. This is useful for creatives who have mixer set-ups and multiple audio outputs.
  • Visual Character list in the timeline - Users can view the names of characters in the timeline. Users can edit the character list by manually changing the position in the scene characters menu or automatically using the column sorting as well.
  • Double click to edit the text in the timeline - Users can tap the line twice in the timeline to edit the text. This keeps users who are doing word and line sync to stay in the timeline view.
  • Dubtext script import - Users who use dubtext format may import and export these files now to the correct standard
  • SMPTE TTS TTML import/export - More options for import and export. For more information on the format
